Terms of Service

1. The service

PikZiy Books is online software for creating invoices, quotes, credit notes and receipts, recording payments and expenses, and producing related reports.

It is a record-keeping tool. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice, and it does not file tax returns for you. You are responsible for checking that your documents and tax amounts are correct and meet the law that applies to you.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information, keep your login details confidential and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by team members you invite.

Tell us straight away if you believe someone else has used your account.

3. Plans, fees and taxes

Paid plans are charged in advance for each billing period at the prices shown on our pricing page, plus applicable taxes such as GST. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies from your next billing period.

Unless the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refundable. You may cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

4. Online payments from your customers

If you connect a payment gateway such as Razorpay, payments from your customers are processed by that gateway under your own agreement with it. The money goes to your gateway account. We do not hold, receive or transmit your customers' funds, and we are not a party to the sale between you and your customer.

You are responsible for your gateway account, its fees, refunds, chargebacks and disputes, and for keeping your gateway keys secure.

5. Your data

You own the data you put into the service. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide and support the service.

You are responsible for having the right to store your customers' details in the service and for the content of the documents and emails you send through it.

You can export your data while your account is active. After an account is closed we delete or anonymise its data within a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to keep it.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to break the law, send spam or misleading documents, infringe anyone's rights, upload malicious code, attempt to access another customer's data, or overload or probe our systems. We may limit emails or other usage to protect the service.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may add, change or remove features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you have paid for.

8. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is unpaid, or puts the service or other customers at risk. Where practical we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

9. Disclaimer and limit of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or tax penalties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
