Security and trust
Your books are yours to see
What we do to keep your business records separate, your payments in your own hands, and your books honest. Everything on this page describes how PikZiy Books works today.
- Each business's records are kept apart
- Every read and write in the database is checked against the business it belongs to and the person asking. Someone in one business cannot see another business's invoices, customers or books.
- People see what their role allows
- Owners, admins, accountants, staff and viewers each have their own access. Viewers can look but not change anything; only owners, admins and accountants can change the books.
- Your money never passes through us
- Customers pay into your own Razorpay, Cashfree or Easebuzz account. PikZiy Books does not hold your money and does not store card details.
- Payment keys are encrypted
- The secret keys for your payment gateway are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored, and are only decrypted on our servers when a payment needs them.
- The books cannot be quietly changed
- Posted journal entries are never edited or deleted. A correction is a new reversing entry that anyone with access can see. Months you lock cannot be changed at all.
- A record of who did what
- Changes to the books record who made them and when, and the activity log keeps a history of changes across the business.
- Private links stay private
- The link you send a customer for an invoice or quote is a long random address that opens only that document. Uploaded files such as payment proofs are kept in private storage and opened through the app after checking who is asking.
- Our own team's access is limited
- Inside PikZiy Books' own team, people are found by an ID rather than an email address, and only the owner role can see customers' full email addresses and phone numbers.
